Dig Into Prehistoric Discovery

Encourage creativity through hands-on digging
Give scientific curiosity something to explore
Work together on a shared discovery
Continue the learning as the model takes shape

Unearth and Assemble a Prehistoric Model

Start with a plaster block and uncover the model bones inside, then piece them together into a skeleton. For kids ages 6 and up, this kit turns prehistoric curiosity into a hands-on project. Choose Triceratops, T. rex, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, or Mammoth.

Assembled T. rex skeleton in front of an excavated plaster block with a hammer, chisel, and brush

Practice the Art of Discovery

Digging carefully, brushing away plaster, and examining the pieces give children a practical introduction to excavation. The process encourages close observation and a curious, step-by-step approach to exploring what lies beneath the surface.

Step-by-step excavation guide showing model bones uncovered and cleaned inside a plaster block

Make Discovery a Family Project

Take turns uncovering pieces, compare your finds, and assemble the model together. Each stage gives kids and grown-ups a shared activity to enjoy and something new to talk about as the skeleton takes shape.
